Alice Mae Freck –
Age 82, of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Arbor Manor. Alice was born May 15, 1936 in Kalkaska, Michigan to Earl and Mae Warner. She is survived by her children, Terri (James) Buchanan, Dave Freck, and Kim (Jeff) Abbott; four grandchildren, Brian (Jan) Buchanan, Josh Buchanan, Jeremy (Ann Marie) Abbott, and Jenna Abbott; six great grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Corey, Remmy, Sawyer, and Carson; numerous nieces and nephews. Before her recent move to Arbor Manor she lived at Spring Arbor Assisted Living and had many wonderful caregivers and friends from there. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Earl Freck as well as her brother, Earl Warner. She worked as an executive assistant for many years and retired from Gilbert Commonwealth in Jackson. She was an Avon Representative for many years after retirement and enjoyed that second career and the many people she met. She was a member of Avon’s President Club. Alice and Earl raised their family in the Springport area and attended Pope United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Sunday dinners, camping, and traveling, especially in Michigan. A celebration of her life will be held at Sandstone Congregational Church (250 S. Sandstone Road, Jackson, MI) on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Justin J. Nierer officiating. Visitation with the family will be at 10:00 AM before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of your choosing.
