Doretha "Dot" Wisul

Doretha (Dot) passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on June 6, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Dot was known for her kindness, sense of humor, laughter, and her love for her family and Jesus Christ. Her laughter could brighten a room and she never met a stranger. Dot especially loved children and her grandchildren were adored. Dot was the grandmother who would rather play with the grandchildren than anything else in the world. She is survived by her daughter Patti Bethea and son in law Jim; her son Joe Dasher and daughter in law Lisa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dot was born in McRae, GA and lived most her life in Valdosta, GA and in Jacksonville, FL. Her husband, Paul Wisul, a Pearl Harbor survivor, predeceased her in 2004. The family would like to thank all her caregivers at Harbor Chase who made her life happy and comfortable during her final months. The family also express their thanks to Community Hospice for their excellent care. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.
