Louise C. Deen

Louise C. Deen, age 90, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019, in Jacksonville, Florida. Louise was born on February 16, 1929 in Baxley, Georgia to Jackson and Julia Leggett. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her Lord and Savior, and will be forever remembered by her family and friends as a true woman of faith and love. Louise left a beautiful legacy behind that her family will forever remember and cherish. Louise is survived by her son, Ronald Steven Deen and daughter-in-law, Melanie Brown Deen; grandchildren Ryan Steven Deen (Kalan Ashley Deen), Jill Renee Colbert (Courtney Corey), Heather Michelle Forshee (Colby Forshee), and Whitney Danielle Deen; great-grandchildren Jackson Thomas Deen, Bennett Wesley Deen, Jace Daniel Forshee, James Caleb Ward, and Blair Nickole Ward; and brothers Leon Leggett (Peggy Leggett) and Royce Leggett (Alice Leggett). She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Junior Deen; one daughter, Nancy Lorraine Colbert; and her son, Henry Lamar Deen. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will gather with friends for a reception at First Coast Baptist Church, 7587 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244, after the funeral and graveside committal service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERSIDE MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, is serving the family.
