January 13, 1966August 14, 2019
Warren “Doug” Flowers beloved husband and son passed away suddenly, at home on August 14, 2019 after a recent diagnosis of cancer, he was 53. Doug was born on January 13, 1966 to Linda Flowers and the late Warren Flowers. Doug is survived by his wife, Sandee Zeller; mother, Linda Flowers; sister, Lorrie Flowers, and Scrubs, the family cat. Doug grew up in Boulder, Colorado and attended Fairview High School. Doug worked at Mental Health Partners in Boulder County for the last 15 years as a Facilities Maintenance Manager. It was during this time when Doug and Sandee met, fell in love, and have been inseparable ever since. Family and friends were extremely important to Doug. He was fiercely loyal and loved and cared deeply for us all. He will be sorely missed. Growing up, Doug was always up for adventure. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. Doug loved sports, playing football and baseball, until an early diagnosis of arthritis cut short any dreams of a sports career. Doug continued his love of sports by taking up golf and played regularly with his buddies. Doug loved football season and was a dedicated football fan. He also enjoyed attending Avalanche and Rockies games. Doug and Sandee enjoyed many trips together. There were yearly trips to Estes Park, staying near the river, fishing, barbequing, relaxing in the hot tub, and watching the wildlife. Then yearly adventure vacations to Cancun, Blackhawk and Las Vegas. The most recent adventure vacation plan was a trip to Sea World in San Diego, California. The funeral will take place at Green Mountain Cemetery on Monday August 26. 2019 at 10:00 a.m. A Life Celebration will be held after the burial at the Unitarian Universalist Church from 11:00 to 1:00.
