Barbara Anne Price

Barbara Anne (McKenna) Price, a life-long resident of Lynn, passed away in her home on Thursday evening, March 17, 2016, she was 80. Born in Lynn on February 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Sweeney) McKenna. Barbara was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School with the Class of 1953. She went on to obtain a certification with the Chandler Secretarial School. Barbara married her sweetheart, William T. Price on February 23, 1957 in St. Pius V Church in Lynn. The couple spent over 50 years in marriage together, raising and caring for their family. Barbara was dedicated wife, mother and homemaker but found time to enjoy life’s little pleasures. She was an avid reader and absolutely loved to play golf. She was a long-time member of the private Bear Hill Country Club located in Stoneham. She was also a past member of St. Pius V’s Ladies Sodality and served as an officer at one point. In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her sons; Steven W. Price and his wife, Catherine of Danvers and Brian W. Price of Lynn, her grandchildren; Stephanie Price of Merrimac and Billy Price of Danvers, her great-grandson; Michael Vassey of Merrimac and her siblings; Maureen McKenna of Peabody and Peter McKenna and his wife, Linda of Lynn. She also leaves three nephews. A Funeral Service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM.
