Alice Rodriguez

Alice Rodriguez died peacefully at home surrounded by her true family and friends on May 5th, 2019 at 90 years old. She is known as Alicia, Mom, Abita, China, Ta, Gramita, Bisabuela and Tata. She is survived by her children Ceci, Jim, Gerard, Cheri, Bonnie and Jeff. Her grandchildren Annie, Doug, Jonathan, Andrea, Jesse, Sarah, Karly, Ryan, Maggie, Seamus, Marie, Eric, Robertito, Julie and Lisa. Her great grandchildren Jaxon, Harper, Cali, Stella, Elliot, Milo, Charlie, Frances, Maria-Jose, Robertito and Martina. Her sister Adrienne (Nita) and second sister Anita. Beloved nieces Roxie, Lilliana, nephews Roberto, Jorge and Alberto and great nephew Tristan, and many other greatnieces/ nephews and close friends. She is predeceased by her husband Juan Garcia and her son Johnny Coolo. She was born in Brooklyn, raised in Chile and was a longtime resident of Teaneck NJ. She was a dancer, activist/writer and her home was everyone’s home- Full of music, delicious food, laughter and so much love. She will be greatly missed and her legacy of strength and spirit will live on forever.
