Michael J Sherman

Michael J. Sherman, 54, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on July 16, 2016 at the Virtua Marlton Campus. He was born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Hamilton Township, NJ. He was a 1983 graduate of Steinert High School. He joined the U.S, Navy soon after graduating High School, where he attended Boot Camp Naval Station, Great Lakes, IL. He attended Central Texas College, where he studied as an Electronics Technician with Crypto Tech Specialty. Michael was stationed at the Pentagon, Washington D.C. until he was retired from service in 1992. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Diane (Lyle) Sherman, his two loving daughters, Kayleigh and Courtney Sherman. He is also survived by his father, Stanley, his three brothers, Donald, Stanley and Brian (Irena), his brothers-in-law John Mojta, Fred Lyle(Joan), John Lyle (Elisa), Francis Lyle and Kevin Lyle (Sharon). A niece, Brooke and nephew Alex. He also leaves his cherished nieces, nephews, his great nieces and nephews as well as his many cousins. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Joyce Lyle. He was predeceased by his mother, Linda(Browning) Sherman. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr, with a service at 6:30PM, Manahawkin, NJ, In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's name may be sent to N.J., Brain Injury Alliance, Blinded Veterans Association or Disabled American Veterans.
