Sylda Joy Hutt

Sylda Joy Hutt, 86, passed away on May 9, 2019 in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She was born on June 28, 1932 in Wildwood, New Jersey. After growing up in New Jersey, Sylda moved to Florida in 1950. She was a member of ORT, Broward County PTA and a volunteer with the local Community Theater. When Sylda wasn’t spending time with her family and friends she was volunteering and serving her community. In April 2019, Sylda received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Broward County School Board. Sylda is predeceased by her parents, Noble and Esther Botwin; former husband, Stephen Hutt; and son, William Todd Hutt. Sylda is survived by her son, Jeff (Laura) Hutt; daughter, Beth (Michael) Berkow; former daughter-in-law, Dawn Diamond; grandchildren, Danielle (Adam) Berkow-Schwartz, Ashley Berkow, Eric Hutt and Madison Hutt; and brothers, Michael (Caroline) Botwin, and Chuck (Marlene) Botwin. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel at Mt. Nebo Kendall, 5900 SW 77 Ave, Miami, FL 33143. The family will only be sitting Shiva at the funeral home immediately following the graveside service.
