Violet Schwartzberg

It is with great sadness that the family of Violet (Vi) Schwartzberg announces her passing on April 6, 2018 at the age of 90. Vi was born on December 19, 1927 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Joseph and Sophie Suravsky. She grew up in Hillside, NJ. Vi married the love of her life, Howard Schwartzberg on June 21, 1947. The couple settled in Newark, NJ before moving to Miramar, FL. Vi was the matriach of the family and was a devoted and loving mother. She was an avid reader and bridge player, reaching her goal of Life Master. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a grandmother of six and “GG” to her five great-granddaughters. Vi was the beloved wife of the late Howard Schwartzberg who predeceased her on August 28, 1971. She was the loving mother of Linda (Harvey) Rubinchik and Eileen (Charles) Koch, loving grandmother of Scott Rubinchik, Heather (Avi) Mesch, Staci (Brandon) Marton, Traci (Christopher) Pumo, Jennifer Kratish and Jillian Kratish and adoring great-grandmother of Mikaela Mesch, Jolie Rubinchik, Alexa Mesch, Sophia Marton and Rylee Marton. She is also the dear sister of Sheila (Ronald) Friedel. Vi will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. She will be forever loved and missed by all.
