Donald Robert Critchley

In Loving Memory of Donald Robert Critchley. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and uncle. Don passed away peacefully on June 28, 2018 at Holmberg House in Abbotsford, BC at the age of 78. He was born on December 27, 1939 in St. Boniface, Winnipeg. Don leaves behind his two sons Mike (Jaana) and Dave (Lynsay); and his four grandchildren Markus (Gracie), Emma (Jordan) Messner, Aidan and Kailyn. He was predeceased by his father Clifford Critchley and his mother Doris Macey (nee Johnson). Don was devoted to his family and loved family gatherings. He was a loving father, grandfather and a friend to many. He was a tireless volunteer throughout his lifetime to the Lions Club in Invermere, BC and later to the Rotary Club in Mission, BC. His greatest joy came from the many friendships made through volunteering. The twinkle in his eyes, his smile and his endless stories will be forever missed by all. Rest peacefully dad and gramps. We love you and we miss you dearly. The family would like to express their special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Cancer Center, Oncology Unit, and Palliative Care Unit of the Abbotsford Hospital and Holmberg House in Abbotsford, BC. A Celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later date in Mission, BC.
