Kenneth Roth

Kenneth James Roth, 78, of Monroe, North Carolina passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on September 5, 2019.
He was born in Buffalo, New York on December 20, 1940 to the late Augustine and Lottie Roth.
Ken proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 until he was honorably discharge as an E4 Corporal in 1962. He was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan as a member of the Marine Air Squadrons VMCJ-1 and VMCJ-2.
Ken served as a Boy Scout Leader for over 25 years in Western New York and North Carolina, earning the District Award of Merit in 1986. He worked for Tyco / Scott Health and Safety in both Lancaster, New York and then relocated to Monroe, North Carolina in 1991 until his retirement in 2006 after 38 years of service. Ken enjoyed his time as a Volunteer Docent for Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte, NC.
In addition to his parents, Ken is predeceased by his brother, Lawrence Roth. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Fletcher Roth; his children, Michael Roth and his wife Amy, Jennifer Roth Snyder and son Timothy Roth and his husband Ju Shua Tan; grandchildren, Jonathan Roth, Laura Roth Hamann, Mason Snyder, Brianna Snyder and Alan Crawford and his brother, Thomas Roth. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, 204 S. Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at McEwen Funeral Home in the Colonial Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.
