Linda Sue Smith

Linda Sue Smith, age 61, of Indian Trail, went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2019. She was born in Union County on August 23, 1957, daughter of the late Heath and Willie Mae Helms. She is preceded in death by her brother, Don Helms. Linda's greatest acheivement in life was having and raising her daughter, Samantha. She was devoted to her church and her teaching career. She was the best daughter, wife, mom, and sister anyone could ever want and she loved her family dearly. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Tim Smith; her daughter, Samantha Smith; her sister, Nancy Bartles (Carl); her brothers, David Helms (Joy) and Doug Helms (Cindy) and her sister-in-law, Diane Helms. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 2:00pm Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Benton's Cross Roads Baptist Church. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Smith will begin at 2:00pm in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
