Kristy Ann Burgdorf

Kristy Burgdorf, 39, last residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019. She was born in Newburgh, IN on August 6, 1979 to Jack and Susan Burgdorf. She graduated from Castle High School in 1997 and Rogers Academy of Hair Design in 2000 and was former owner of Burgdorf Salon. Kristy was full of life and always had a smile on her face. She could make friends with anyone and was the first one to reach out to help someone else, although it was most challenging for her to help herself. She loved her nieces and nephews who will forever remember her as cool Aunt Kiki. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Erma Harrison and Bob and Pat Burgdorf. Kristy is survived by her parents, Jack and Susan Burgdorf; sisters, Jill (Alex) Albright of Evansville, IN and Angie (Steve) Barta of Alamo, CA; and nieces and nephews Luke, Ally, Megan, Davis, Trent, Sydney and Hadley. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel. Friends may visit Wednesday, May 8, 2019, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Youth Resources of Southwestern Indiana at youth-resources.org.
