Carol Rose Payton

Carol Rose Payton (Savage), 81, of Oklahoma City was called to heaven September 28th, 2019. She was born on December 31st, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK the Daughter of Edward T. Savage and Catherine Savage (Barker). Carol Graduated From North East High School Class of 1956. She had a long and respected career retiring from both South Western Bell and Oklahoma Publishing Company. Carol enjoyed Square Dancing, Antiquing, and attending Parade of homes events. She also loved to solve puzzles in the paper such as Cryptic quotes and the Crosswords. Carol was a loving and kind mother and friend to many her smile would light up a room. Her sense of humor was unparalleled, she loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed singing and dancing. She also had an adventurous side as well, going on trips with her friends and family to far flung places Like New York city, the Caribbean, and Japan. Carol is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Catherine Savage, and her brothers James and Janice Savage, and Joe Savage. Carol is survived by her loving sister Sharon (David) Petty of Guymond OK, brother John (Nancy) Savage of TX, sister in-law Linda Savage of Norman, her daughter Patti Rubin of Oklahoma City, grandchildren Adam Rubin of Oklahoma City and Tyler Morris of VT, her Son Thurman Lee Payton and Yumiko Payton of Tokyo Japan, her grandchildren Naomi Payton and Alexander Payton of Tokyo Japan, and her Loving Life Partner of 40 years Mr. Don Robertson of Norman OK.
