Deborah Jean Cordick

Deborah Jean Cordick passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2019. Deborah was born in Smith Falls, Ontario to John George Cordick and Doreen Margaret Cordick (nee Harvey). She is survived by her beloved partner of 43 years, Garnet Challenger, her three siblings: Robert, Peggy and Randy and her nieces and nephews. Deborah was a dedicated public servant for 39 years. She spent a large portion of her career with Correctional Service Canada. In her personal life, Deborah took great pride in managing her partner’s music career. She enjoyed helping him write songs and advertising his music. Deborah also had a deep love for flowers. She spent all of her free time in her garden. There will be a gathering at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa on Friday, March 8 from 2-3 pm followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 3 pm.
