Patrick Clark Miller

Patrick Miller, also lovingly known as Clark, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 62. He was born in Laredo, Texas on September 26, 1956 to his mother Edna E. Miller. Patrick was a high school graduate of Thomas Edison High School, Class of 1973, and he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from UTSA in 1995. After the passing of his young son, Scotty, during his service in the Army overseas in Iraq, Patrick became a Gold Star Dad. His experience encouraged him to become a pillar of support for other parents and families through their grief who have also lost their service sons and daughters. He was selfless, full of humor, and he was deeply loved, forever and always, by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his son, Anthony Scott Miller; his step-father, Charles Pierce Sr.; his uncles, Al Coronado, Joe Jimenez, Julian Coronado, and Michael Coronado; his grandmother, Jovita Coronado; and his father-in-law, Reverend Henry C. Ward. Patrick leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Patricia J. Miller; his mother, Edna E. Pierce; his son, Patrick C. Miller Jr.; his daughter, Susan L. Cruz; his three grandchildren, Sam Miller, Daisy Cruz, and Apple Cruz; his brother, Charles Pierce (Charlotte); his brother-in-law, Joseph Ward; his nephews, Andrew Pierce and Jeremy Pierce Dickerson; his aunts, Livila Altamirano, Olga Sifuentes (Francisco), and Lupe Villareal; his uncle, Joe Coronado (Virginia); and his numerous cousins, extended family, and friends who adored and admired his being. The family will be receiving friends for a Visitation on Friday, May 31st from 5 PM to 9 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home - 515 N. Main Ave. 78205. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral chapel on Saturday, June 1st beginning at 11 AM.
