Ms. Ella Inez Davis

Ella Inez Touchton Baker Davis, 94, of Sanford, passed away on August 6, 2019 at her home. She was born Dec. 19, 1924 in Suwannee Co., FL to the late Rev. Moultrie Haulman Touchton and Samantha Jane Sanders Touchton. She was the 16th child of 18 children which have all preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Baker (WWII – Army – KIA 1944) and her second husband, Woodrow W. Davis (WWII – Navy – 1926 – 1986) Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Marvin Tony Baker (Donna) and Inez Davis Fisher (Larry), grandchildren; Kimberly Baker Johnson, Todd Baker, Clint Fisher (Tiffany), great-grandchildren; Justin Johnson (Ashley), Jessica Johnson, Logan Jones, Lachlana Fisher, Maverick Fisher, great-great-grandchildren; Aaliyah Chambers, Ella Rose Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ella Davis was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She was saved at age 13 at a Bible camp where 19 year old Billy Graham was the speaker in 1938. She was a Sunday School Teacher for more than 40 years. She loved her students and 4 of them later became ministers of the Gospel. Ella was a master quilt-maker, seamstress, musician, gardener, cook and homemaker. Her family wishes to thank Advent Health Hospice, especially Myrtha and Tina, for their professional and loving care. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel at 3:00 P.M. on Friday August 9, 2019, with Rev. Don Bailey officiating. Visitation will be one hour before her service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Oaklawn Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ella’s memory to Advent Health Hospice Care, 605 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
