James Clifford "J.C." Butler Jr.

Mr. James Clifford “J.C.” Butler Jr., age 93, of Saraland, Alabama passed away Monday, August 12, 2019. He was preceded in death by the love of his life for over 72 years his wife Mildred Earline Butler, infant child; parents, James Clifford Butler Sr. and Lena Azeline (Jones) Butler, six sisters Lois Huddleston, Ethel Snellgrove, Audie Waller, Gladys Barnett, Ruth West, Eloise Heiden and three brothers Walter Butler, Huey Butler and James Wesley Butler and daughter-in-law Carol Butler. Mr. Butler was a member of Wilson Avenue Baptist Church. He was a printer at International Paper Company where he worked for 40 years and retired. He loved making quilts, planting and harvesting vegetables and fruits out of his garden and cooking for his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and spending time with his family and friends. Mr.Butler is survived by his four sons; Mike Butler (Evelyn), Jimmie Butler, Neal Butler and Gerald Butler (Wendy), nine grandchildren: Michael Butler Jr., Rhett Butler, Jessica Butler Olive, Alex Butler Harvison, Nick Butler, Chris Butler, Hayli Butler Smith, Kaitlin Butler, Emily Butler and sixteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Dale Heiden, and sister-in- law Gertie Bell Butler, numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, Alabama on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
