Candelario Garcia February 2nd, 1935 - September 9th, 2019 Candelario Garcia, age 84, passed away peacefully September 9th, 2019. Candelario was born February 2, 1935 in Devine, Texas to Dominga and Callentano Garcia. Candelario is most known for his gifts of carpentry skills and woodworking. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Texas Longhorn fan. He loved to be outdoors working around the house looking for projects to do. He loved watching classic car shows and wrestling. He also loved being with his fur baby, Mikey. Candelario is preceded in death by parents, Dominga and Callentano Garcia; his three brothers, Victor Garcia, Andreas Garcia, and Lorenzo Garcia; and his four sisters, Poala Garcia, Sarita Gonzales, Lucinda Escamilla, and Feliz Perez. Surviving family member are his loving wife of 61 years, Lucia, and his children, Becky Fernandez, Margie Garcia, Stella Wooldridge, and Adam Garcia. Candelario is also survived by his sisters, Irene Gauna and Tonia Rodriguez; his brother, Juan Garcia and wife Elena; his 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 12, 2019 from 6pm-8pm at Condra Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday September 13, 2019 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ashley Wooldridge, Robyn Fernandez, Anthony Van Boekhout, Steven Van Boekhout, Ian Wooldridge, and Johnathan Wooldridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Maricela Fernandez and Orianna Ramirez.
