Paul William Foster

Paul William Foster passed away peacefully at his home in Thornhill at the age of 78 just before sunrise on July 3, 2018. Darling husband & best friend of Merle (Garvey) Foster. He was predeceased by his parents Edith (McColl) Foster & William Foster and his brothers Robert, Joseph & John. Dear brother-in-Law of Nancy (Sam) Wood, Jim (Diane)Garvey & Gayle Foster. Loving uncle of Jody Foster, Nicole Sandison & Laura Benninger. Great Uncle of Lachlan & Duncan Sandison. Paul was an avid golfer until Multiple Myeloma took over more than nine years ago. He was a golf professional for many years, including associate professional at Thornhill Country Club & was employed at Safety Supply Canada & The Beer Store. Paul was #1 fan of the New York Yankees since he was a young boy. The Driftwood Beach Club was our happy bit of paradise for vacationing with many special friends from Canada, US, England & Ireland. Heartfelt thanks to our family & friends for your support for Paul during his illnesses. I am also very grateful to Dr. Donna Reece, Paul’s oncologist at PMH, for her compassionate & excellent care of him for 9 years. Thank you also to the CCAC team under coordinator, Heidi Boivin, which included very kind Dr.Jack Sandler, special nurses & PSW’s for their care during the last weeks of Paul’s life at home. Donations to Myeloma Canada, Salvation Army or Covenant House.would be appreciated. As per Paul’s wishes he has been cremated & there will be no service. May Angel Wings Fly Thee to Thy Rest.
