Erasmo "Amo" R. VASQUEZ, age 73, of Cibolo, Texas passed away on Wednesday April 10, 2019. A visitation for Amo will be held Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A rosary service will occur Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A funeral service will occur Monday, April 15, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Good Shepard Catholic Church, 1065 E Live Oak Rd, Schertz, TX 78154. A committal service will occur Monday, April 15, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd, San Antonio, TX 78239. Amo was born June 2, 1945 in Barstow, Texas to Domingo and Eulalia Vasquez. He graduated from Monahans, Texas in 1963. On Nov. 16, 1963 he married Dolores Vijil in Monahans, Texas. Amo was employed with C.R. Anthony as an Asst. Manager for most of his career. Amo enjoyed his time playing his alto sax and singing in his band "Amo and The Latin Beats". Later he enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was proud to be a part of The Knights of Columbus as a 4th degree member. He looked forward to Sundays where he loved to be a part of the services and serve as an usher. Amo is survived by his wife Dolores of Cibolo, Texas. His 4 daughters, Amalia "Millie" Mosqueda and husband Larry of Schertz, Tx., Mary Jane Silvas of Schertz, Tx., Annette Vasquez of Cibolo, Tx., Wendy Dingle and husband Jason of Schertz, Tx. and 1 son Joe Benjamin Vasquez of San Antonio, Tx., 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. 2 sisters, Luisa Pena and Elfida Terrazas both of Monahans, Tx., 2 brothers, Ernesto Vasquez of Alice, Tx and Raul Vasquez of Cibolo, Tx. and many nephews and nieces. Amo was preceded in death by his 2 sons, Erasmo Jr. and Saul Vasquez, his parents Domingo and Eulalia and his brothers Ramon, Robert and Alfredo Vasquez.
