Kathleen B. McGovern

Kathleen B McGovern. 11/9/1933- 6/21/2019 Known to all who loved her as Bernadette, Bernie, Auntie Ber, and Nana. She was born to Charles and Hannah (Annie Purcell) O’Connor and grew up in Cork City, Ireland. She immigrated to America in 1953 and very proudly became a US citizen. Bernie worked as a receptionist at the Admissions Department at Manhattan College for many years until retirement. She has been a happy resident of Washingtonville, NY since her retirement. She is predeceased by her husband Philip (Skippy) McGovern. She is survived by her two loving daughters Bernadette Park and Anne McGovern as well as her son in law Gene Park and her adoring grandchildren, Christopher McKallen, Ciara McKallen, Conor McKallen, Katie Park, and Krista Park.
