Ceferina Tagaban

Ceferina Allapitan Tagaban, age 97, of Seabrook, Texas, passed away September 30, 2019. She was born in Isabela, Philippines on February 27, 1922 to Domingo Allapitan and Juana Paziwagan. She was married to Petronilo B. Tagaban, Sr. for 60+ years. Ceferina was a businesswoman in the United States and in the Philippines. She also worked as a dietary aide for 5 years at the Jewish Home of the Aged, a nursing home in Houston. She was a member of the Philippine Senior Citizens in Houston and the Philippines. Ceferina had a passion for singing, Hawaiian dancing, and cooking. She is preceded in death by her husband Petronilo (at age 81), daughter Imelda (at over a year old), and daughter Alma (at age 58). Ceferina is survived by and lovingly remembered by her daughters Rosevida, Teresita, Jesusa, Melba and Filipinas, and sons Petronilo, Jr., Victor, and Domingo. The family will receive friends all day on Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Bartolome residence, 318 Waterfront Drive, Seabrook, Texas. A Celebration of Cepherina's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18223 Point Lookout Drive, Houston, Texas, followed by a Committal Service at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas.
