Alice Bertha (Heiland) Zdril

Forever Loved, Never Forgotten Passed away peacefully May 28, 2019 at the Charleswood Care Centre in Winnipeg, just a week prior to her 88th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel. Leaving to mourn her memory are her daughter Carol (Larry), and sons David (Barbara), Grant and Roger. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Alice retired from IGA after a long career. She was the last surviving child of 13 born to Catherine and George Heiland which included Fredrick (died as a toddler) George, Andrew, Barbara, Eleanor, Rosemary, Elizabeth, Doreen, Regina, Richard, Gordon, and Frederick. To know them all was to love them all for their humor and time together which often consisted of a game of cards. Alice was no exception. She had a love for swimming, gardening, and her dogs. Above all she enjoyed a good laugh, sometimes at her own expense but often times, it was reminiscing about family. Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will follow at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway # 1 East at Navin Road on Friday, June 14th at 10:00 am. Flowers gratefully declined.
