John R. Fast

John passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Riverview Health Centre. He is survived by his loving wife Genieve of almost 51 years; son Robert (Shannon); grandchildren Alexis and Tyler; brother Walter (Helen) and sister Leonora (Abe). John’s 33 year teaching career was at River East Collegiate. In retirement, he enjoyed spending summers at West Hawk Lake cottage, winters in Waikiki, and annual visits to sister in law Gertie and family in Los Angeles, California. To honour Johns’ wishes no formal service will be held. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff and doctors at the Riverview Health Centre for the care and compassion shown to them and John.
