Obituary of Kenneth Bruce Blackmon
Forever Remembered It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, (Kenneth) Bruce Blackmon, at the Grace Hospital on Thursday, May 2, 2019, with his daughter Melanie by his side. Bruce’s memory will be lovingly remembered by his three children David (Michelle), Melanie Conklin (Brent) and Michael. His grandchildren and great grandchildren who all added sunshine to his life, Lindy Edmondson (Brody, Hunter and Harper), Shawn Trudeau (Jessica Veitch and Zachary), Carolyn Hysop (Devon Code), Heather Blackmon, Katie Blackmon, Brooke Charbonneau and Bradley Conklin (Rael Kulchycki). As well, his twin brother Donald and Rosie (to Bruce) and his sister in law Judy Flood and Jack. All the nephews, John and Aggie Flood, Kevin and Mona Flood, Rob and Darlene Flood and Kent and Sandy Blackmon and all of their families. He was predeceased by the “love of his life” Sandra Gail Blackmon on August 30, 2004. Our Dad never got over that great love. When he took that last breath on that sunny day, he had tears in his eyes and as much as my heart broke at that moment, I knew that our Mom was there and it was safe for him to go! Dad, I am going to miss you, but you are in the best hands ever! Dad was also predeceased by his parents Stanley and Katherine Blackmon and his mother in law, Hilda Stimpson. A special thank you to all who spent time with and supported our Dad in both Grace Hospital and Deer Lodge. You are all “Angels”! Please join us for a “Celebration of Life” on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 2 PM to 4 PM at Winakwa Community Centre, 980 Winakwa Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2J 1E7.
