Michelle Celeste Owens

Forever Loved and Never Forgotten... After two courageous battles with cancer, our dear Michelle is finally at peace with our heavenly father. She was predeceased by her father (Alex) and will be sadly missed by her loving mother (Susan), sister (Pat & husband Jim), precious nephews (Jamie & Paul). Michelle was born November 13, 1963. She grew up in Transcona and resided there until her passing. Her very first job was working in the dietary at St. Boniface Hospital. There she made lasting friendships. Academically, she graduated from Transcona Collegiate and proceeded on taking a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology at the University of Manitoba, a computer programming course at Red River Community College and was later employed at U.G.G. Her final place of employment was at St. Boniface Hospital in the Health Records Department. Michelle was a kind and selfless soul with a deep faith in our Lord. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She had many interests and was an avid Blue Bombers fan. She travelled throughout Canada, parts of the U.S., Europe and even traced her roots back to Ireland. Many thanks to ALL who partook in Michelle’s care: (Dr. Valarie, Gordon/Karen, Dr. B. Kowaluk/Heather, Palliative Home Care Team, Unit 4B St Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg Fire Department and Paramedics) and to all our family and friends for their love, support and prayers throughout this difficult journey.
