Sandra Lou Masters

Sandra Lou Masters, age 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021. Sandra was born March 4, 1936 in Lafayette, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial for Sandra will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Cathedral, 1212 South Street, Lafayette, IN 47901. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Sandy was born in Lafayette to Arthur "Abe" and Catherine Masters March 4, 1936. She was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and went on to study foreign languages at Indiana and Purdue Universities. Sandra was an energetic mother of five and a caring grandmother. You could find her singing at home and in the church choir. She had quick wit and an easy smile. she was an avid bridge player and was a member of the Indianapolis Bridge Club. She was a lover of language and crosswords, finding recipes to share and fast friendships. Sandra is survived by son Thomas Anthony Pechin, II; son Andrew Pechin (Sheree); son David Pechin; and daughter Christina Ricks (David). Sandra was preceded in death by daughter Catherine Pechin; brother Bob Masters and sister Marilyn McQuistan. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sandra's memory may be made to Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Neurology.
