Brenda Sue Stevens

Brenda Sue Stevens, age 73, of Bloomington passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at I.U. Health; Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born March 13, 1947 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Harry N. and Juanita Marie (Hamm) Thrasher. Brenda graduated from Bloomington High School and retired from the Bloomington Post Office as a mail carrier. She later worked as a school crossing guard, primarily at Fairview Elementary School. She was a life time member of the Bloomington V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and loved taking trips out west and working in her yard. Brenda is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Lynn McDonald, of Bloomington, one son, Mark Dale McDonald, of Gosport, one brother, Mark Thrasher, of Bloomington, one sister, Lisa Jones, of Mitchell, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Larry Thrasher, two baby daughters, Michelle Renee McDonald, in 1969 and Melissa Dawn McDonald, in 1971 and one baby son, John Matthew McDonald, in 1972. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow the graveside service.
