Norma Jean Johnson

Norma J. Johnson, 91, of Zanesville, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Norma was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending quality time with family, including playing games (especially cards and dominos), bargain shopping for the best deals to share with those she loved, baking and gardening. Norma was a dedicated parishioner of the Zanesville Community Church of God. She will be remembered for her award winning pies (apple, sugar cream and peach praline were among the many family favorites), her contagious smile, and unwavering faith in God. Rest in peace Mother, Sis, Grandma, Gigi, Grandma Great, and dear friend. We love you MORE (20, 40, 60, 80). Norma was born on November 14, 1928 in Berne, IN the daughter of the late Harvey D. and Ermal Marie (Leichty) Fisher. Survivors include three daughters: Nancy & Bill Plummer, Judy Quackenbush and Patti & Vince Macias; a son Richard E. Johnson Jr. & Stacy Wild. Eleven grandchildren: Jeramy Bear, Jessica McAllister, Nikki Sherk, Ryan Plummer, Kylie Holmes, Eric Johnson, Rachel Johnson, Rikki Johnson, Sonny Macias, Vanessa Macias and Ali Freiburger; Thirty-Three great grandchildren; two brothers: Tom Fisher and Danny Miller; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson Brian D. Plummer and three brothers: Lee Fisher, Delos Fisher and Ron Fisher. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Zanesville Community Church of God, 11984 Marzane Rd., Zanesville, Indiana. with Pastor Steve Whetstone officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at the Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville.
