Beverly J. Ullrich

Beverly J. Ullrich born October 11, 1934, passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2020. Devoted wife to her husband Walter for 50 years and caring mother and grandmother. Beverly was a Ball St. University graduate in Elementary Education and received her master’s degree from Valparaiso University. She was a teacher for the City of East Chicago for 36 years and retired in 1993. As an educator she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and Lake County Retired Teacher Association. She played the piano from an early age and the clarinet in the Griffith High School band as well as the organ at church. She was a very generous caring lady giving all she could to her family and others in need. Beverly is survived by her son, Walter (Nancy) Ullrich of Elk River, MN; two grandchildren Haley Rose and Eric William Ullrich; brother Fred (Kathleen) Schultz of Coral Springs, FL; two nieces, Cathy & Cheryl and one nephew Keith. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter, sister Sharon Yuraitis and parents Fred and Alma Schultz. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 10am at Concordia Cemetery, 6551 Calumet Avenue in Hammond, IN.
