M. Dorothy Piere

Dorothy (Dot) Piere passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, July 24th after suffering from Alzhiemers for the last several years. Beloved wife of Robert L. Piere (deceased). Dot and Bob were happily married for over 30 years. Dot is survived by daughters: Karen Collins, of Summerfield, FL; Pamela Andrews of Centreville, VA; Tracey Hopkins of Summerville, SC; stepdaughter Renee Piere of Durham, NC, grandchildren: Karen Marie, Logan, Honesty, Renee, Dottie, Joshua, David, Steven and 12 great grandchildren; and sisters Sherlene O’Donnell of Boonton, NJ and Norma Best of Fairfax, VA; two nieces and 3 nephews. Services will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Murphy’s funeral home at (4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22203). A visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am followed immediately by a chapel service with live-streaming beginning at 11:00 am at https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2563185610662548. Interment will be at Columbia Gardens Memorial Cemetery in Arlington, VA (3411 Arlington Blvd., Arlington, VA 22201) at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in her memory.
