Ellen L. Stanley

STANLEY, Ellen L., 69, of Beaverdam passed away on December 22, 2018. Ellen was a long time manager in the insurance industry and retired after many years from Erie Insurance. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gale and Gertrude Epps and brothers Bert and Tracy Epps. She is survived by her husband, Bucky Stanley; son, Darrell Stanley (Sheila); grandson, Wyatt Stanley; sisters, Gay Murrell (Gary) and Shirley Bowden (Jerry); and a number of nieces and nephews. Ellen was an active member of Beaverdam Baptist Church and known as a volunteer in numerous groups in the community. A visitation will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Beaverdam Baptist Church, 19110 Beaver Dam Rd., Beaverdam, VA 23015 with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm. A committal service will take place at Shiloh United Methodist Church for immediate family only. The family asks for those who can, to remain at Beaverdam Baptist Church for a reception. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Beaverdam Baptist Church.
