Katherine S. Counts

Katherine S. Counts, 83, of Rockville, passed peacefully on February 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Everett Counts, III and her daughter, Patty Counts. Katherine retired from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield with 20 years of service. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church and Order of The Eastern Star. Katherine is survived by her children, Sandy Nye (Kevin), Susan Lawver (Wayne), Joe Counts (Pam), Eddie Counts; grandchildren, Max Nye (Jamie), Sam Nye, Cole Nye, Alex Lawver, Cassidy Lawver, Wayne Lawver, Jr., Betsey Cremin (Patrick) and Brandt Counts; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Kevin, Sam, Molly and Will; sister, Betty Isaacs and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Berea Baptist Church, 15475 Ashland Rd., Rockville, VA 23146. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
