Mildred Jean Gaudreault

Mildred Jean Gaudreault, a retired nurse and mother of two sons, passed away at the age of 92 on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. A native of Nebraska, Jean resided in Ruther Glen, VA, with her two sons, David and Alan. Jean was born in Lincoln, NE, on November 28, 1927. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1946, Jean went on to graduate from Bryan School of Nursing in 1951. She married Robert Gaudrealt in 1953. Jean worked as a nurse at the Veterans' hospital in Lincoln, NE; the Mary Lanning Hospital and the Hastings Regional Center in Hastings, NE, before retiring in 1989. Known to her patients and family for her gentle and caring nature, Jean also enjoyed books and flowers--especially orchids. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Hastings, NE, and moved to Ruther Glen, VA, in 2008. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Woody Funeral Home-Atlee Chapel on Saturday, May 16, 2020. Pastor David Beeler will officiate.
