Eva Thacker Houck
May 18, 1931 – July 23, 2018
Eva Thacker Houck, age 87, of Ridgeway, passed peacefully away Monday July 23rd with her loving family surrounding her. She was born on May 18, 1931 to the late Ruth Compton Thacker and George Lin Thacker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Houck; brothers, Howard, Marshall, Otis, Everett, Posey and Dewey Thacker; and sisters, Myrtle Martin and June Hopkins.
Eva is survived by three daughters, Cathy Farmer and husband, Bishop David of Ridgeway, Cindy Amos and husband Darrell of Ridgeway, and Deborah Harris of Christiansburg; two brothers, Billy and Walter Thacker; three sisters, Gracie Cobbler, Ann Phillips (Charlie), and Mary Frances Hammock, six grandchildren; and thirteen great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 25th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mercy Crossing Church located 1978 Joseph Martin Highway in Ridgeway, Virginia. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m..
