James Terry Faw
October 1, 1944 – January 5, 2018

It is with our deepest sadness that the family announces that James Terry Faw passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the age of 73.
Jimmy was born on October 1, 1944 in Danville, Va. to the late Vada M. Taylor and the late Alvin A. Faw. He owned and operated Jimmy’s Auto and Truck Repair for 40 years. Jimmy served in the U.S Army from 1964 to 1967 seeing action in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Susan Cassidy Faw, his son, J.T. Faw II and wife, Tracy of Virginia Beach, Va., his daughter, Shannon F. Bailess and husband, Michael, his grandson, Austin M. Bailess all of Winston-Salem, N.C., his brother, Harry A. Faw and wife, Lois of Danville, Va. He was predeceased by a brother, Johnnie M. Faw. Jimmy loved his family, friends and his passion to work on cars and trucks. He will be truly missed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 8, 2018 from Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Reverend Darrell Campbell officiating and with a Military Service to honor Mr. Faw to follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. and at other times at the residence.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Volunteers of the Mount Hermon Fire and Rescue Department for your care given to their loved one and suggest that memorials to be sent to the Mount Hermon Fire and Rescue Department, 4268 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, Virginia 24540.
