Avahnelle C. Combs

Avahnelle C. Combs, age 79, of Bloomington, died Friday morning (02/16) at her residence. Born December 31, 1938 in Heltonville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Zelbert and Mary (Watson) Kinser. Avahnelle retired from General Electric in Bloomington and was a member of the Bedford Moose Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Gregory J. Moore, Sr. and Herbert D. Kinser, both of Bloomington; two sisters, Mahala Kinser and Delores Hueston, both of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Gregory J. Moore, Jr., Christina M. Kendall, Zelbert H. Moore, Matt Kinser and Amanda Kinser and seven great-grandchildren. Avahnelle was preceded in death by parents, her husband, David Combs and one brother, Robert E. Kinser. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Thursday (02/22) from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel; 700 W. Gourley Pike. Burial will be at a later date in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
