Daniel Lee Edington

Daniel Lee “Dan” Edington passed away on May 15, 2018 in I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on January 13, 1950, he was the son of Noah and Gretchen (Bales) Edington. He married Mary Anne Wegner on November 28, 1970. He graduated from Bloomington South High School in 1968. Dan worked as a Monroe County Deputy until 1978 and was awarded “Policeman of the Year” in 1974. After retiring from the police department he followed his passion of photography, opening his own photography studio in 1978 in Bloomington. He and his brother Steve also operated a VCR/TV repair business in Bloomington. When Dan retired, he and his wife moved to Martin County, IN. Dan is survived by his wife Mary Anne, their daughter Wendy of Bloomington, his father Noah Edington, his two brothers, Steve (Audrey) Edington, Joe (Barbara) Edington and his sister Susie (Cemal) Dodds-Silay all of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his mother Gretchen, mother-in-law Theresa Wegner, brother-in-law James Wegner and his nephew Tommy Wegner. A memorial service and visitation for Dan will be held in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W.
