Obituary of Philip E. Anderson
Philip E. Anderson of Bloomington, passed away in Garden Villa Care Center on January 17, 2013 where he had loving care. He was the son of Arthur and Beulah (Deming) Anderson and was born on January 9, 1926 in Bloomington. Philip was a veteran of the US Navy and served in WWII. His previous employment was truck manager at Graham Motor Sales until its closing. He then co-owned Beard, Weaver and Anderson Chrysler, Jeep, Ford and Tractor dealership in Bloomington. He was active in the family business and enjoyed spending time on the family farm. Phil was a member of N. Central Church of Christ, the American Legion and Elks as well as the Bloomington Hospital Foundation Heritage Society. He was also a private pilot and enjoyed golf. He made a hole in one at Rolling Meadows when he was 69 years old. He enjoyed many years of playing golf at Myrtle Beach with his friends. Phil is survived by his loving wife Bonnie of Bloomington and his son Marc (wife Paula), granddaughters; Aimee(Ed)Kelly and Andrea Anderson, great granddaughter Payton Kelly and great grandson Colten Kelly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Anderson sisters, Cora Troth and Mildred Yates. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 10a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. all in Day Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
