Rose Marie Jackson Alexander

Rose Marie Alexander, 94, of Ellettsville, IN formerly of Bloomington, IN passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care. Rose was born October 19, 1917 in Bloomington, IN the daughter of the late Edward and Stella Jackson. Rose was a member of West Second Street Church of Christ. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Rose is survived by her two sons, Gene (Bridget) Alexander of El Cajon, CA and James (Emily) Alexander of Bloomington, IN; her daughter, Sheila (Mike) Vernon of Bloomington, IN; ten grandchildren, Michael, Cary, Jim, Shelley, Julie, David, Danny, Susan, Lisa, and Laurna; and several great-grandchildren and other beloved family members. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, James, Harold, and Dale; and two sisters, Faye and Gertrude. The Alexander family would like to thank Teresa Blake for all her love, support and care while Rose was at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Day Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Payne Cemetery.
