Alice Bickers

Our loving mother Alice Wingfield Bickers entered the Kingdom of Heaven on May 9, 2021. Alice was born on October 30, 1933 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late Wilbert and Bertha Wingfield. Alice was a strong-willed and loving individual who enjoyed cooking for family events. She loved to sew, crochet, and work in her flower gardens. She was a child of God who belonged to First Christian Church of Charlottesville, Virginia. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Hoover Bickers; former husband, Marion Lee Glass; and son, James Lee Glass, Sr. Alice is survived by her daughters Susan Wood (Roger), Liz Gibson (Carl), and Martha Vest (fiancé Ricky Kidd); stepchildren Sandra Davis and Shawn Bickers; brother Wilbert Wingfield (Petie); and sister-in-law, Patsy Glass. She also leaves behind five loving grandchildren, Lee, Jason, Justin, Niki, and Ammie; and six great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Katelin, Leah, Clarke, Brayden, Chelsea, Justin Craig, and Brandon Craig. A graveside service will be held at Monticello Memorial Gardens on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 2pm.
