Betty Corell

Betty Frances Spangler Corell, age 87, died January 13, 2019 at her home in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was born June 20, 1931 in Narrows, Virginia to Hodson Reese and Eulalia Mae Spangler. She was a graduate of Narrows High School and received an Associates Degree from Concord University. She married Gaylord Stafford Corell on March 20, 1959 and they lived in Roanoke, Virginia, where they founded Roanoke Valley Motors, Inc. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gaylord, and is survived by her three daughters, Lisa Corell Auerbach (Neil Auerbach), Gina Corell, Sue Ann Corell Sarpy, and her granddaughter, Caroline Sarpy. Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA, on Friday, January 18 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A (Private) family graveside service will be held at Birchlawn Cemetery on Saturday, January 19. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, Charlottesville, Virginia.
