Donald Victor Perfetti

Donald V. Perfetti of Charlottesville, Virginia passed away at his home on Sunday, June 26, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones.
He is survived by his soul mate Shelby Ripley of 30 years. He had an amazing son Jonathan Travis Clark of Waynesboro, Virginia. An amazing grand-daughter;Maya Clark of Buckingham, Virginia. His mother; Miriam Eldridge of Elmira, New York and his sisters; Diane Callahan of Elmira, New York and Marcia Liddick of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. Nieces and nephews; Peter Perfitti Jr. of Pennsylvania, Danielle Schwessinger of Maryland, Clinton Liddick of California and Kayley Liddick of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his father Pasquale Perfitti; step-father Charles Eldridge and a brother Peter Perfetti.
Don loved building things with his hands, from New York all the way down to New Orleans. His favorite football team was The New Orleans Saints.
His best friends and employees were; William Massie, Greg Quinn, Leonard Bunn, Todd Morris, and Byron Burke.
Don was a 1969 graduate of Notre Dame High School where he played football and was an undefeated wrestler in his senior year. He also attended Western New England University in Springfield, MA. Don had a long career as a Class A General Contractor, a masterful carpenter, who built magnificent structures in New Orleans and across the South. He recently retired from University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He will be lovingly remembered for his nurturing and brilliant conversations, passion for his craft, and his 40 year old Chevy Truck that he pampered and still drove. Donnie will always be loved and sorely missed.
