William Peyton Brown

William Peyton Brown, 83, of Charlottesville, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018. He was born in Charlottesville in 1934, the son of William Clifford Brown and Florence Blair Brown, both of Charlottesville.
After graduating from McIntire High School, Peyton served his country in the Korean War. Cars were his profession and passion. His love of cars began in high school which lead him to Massy Fisher Ford followed by many years at Brady Bushy Ford where he retired after 50 years of service to Ford Motor Company. He was an avid NASCAR fan and collected model cars.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bond Brown; his daughter, Tina Marie Leiter and son-in-law, Allen Leiter; and his cat, Simmy. The family expresses their gratitude for the care and compassion of the Laurels’ staff.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Teague Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:00 at Teague Funeral Home prior to the service.
Interment will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens.
