Dennis E. Fonner

Dennis E. Fonner, 65, of Columbus died Friday, March 15, 2019, at his home. Dennis was born in Columbus December 11, 1952, the son of Donald and Betty Day Fonner. He married Joyce West at First Baptist Church March 31, 1973; she survives. He attended First Baptist Church. He was retired from CARQUEST in sales. He enjoyed building, flying and collecting remote control airplanes and drones, enjoyed photography, shooting both on the range and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Fonner of Columbus; daughter, Holly (Gregg) Tourville of Warren, Mich.; son, Bryan Fonner of Columbus; 4 grandchildren; his beloved dog, Sammi Jo. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Rev. Dan Cash and Chaplin Karen Harget officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time Monday. Cremation will follow the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
