Mr. VanWye, my 7th grade social studies teacher, was a caring, personable man who gave much to his students. He was quite instrumental in my own development as a socially conscious individual.
My deepest condolences to his family.

Mr. VanWye was my 6th grade teacher. He was such a wonderful man and teacher who had a great presence and an exceptional talent for teaching with a caring heart. I am proud to say that he had a big influence on helping to build the foundation of who I've become as an adult. Thank you Mr. VanWye! You will be greatly missed!

So sorry to hear this. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, although we live in Florida now and won't be able to tell you in person. Bruce said, just the other day, that he missed running into you when we were eating out. I enjoyed the years I worked with Pete. Learned a lot from him.
