Ruth C. Nelson Alne

Ruth Alne, 86, of Columbus, IN. formerly of Vermillion, SD., died at 11:06 am Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Born July 23, 1925 in Vermillion, SD., Mrs. Alne was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Petersen Nelson. She was a 1943 graduate of University High School in Vermillion, SD. and attended a cadet nursing program at Methodist Hospital in Sioux City, IA. She married Harold Alne in Vermillion, SD on November 08, 1947 and he preceded her in death on November 10, 1992. Mrs. Alne was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion, SD. and First Lutheran Church in Columbus, IN. The funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Alne will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, June 02, 2012 at First Lutheran Church in Columbus, IN. with Pastor Larry Isbell and Pastor Edward Boone officiating. Calling hours will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am Saturday at the church. A private burial will be in Bluff View Cemetery in Vermillion, SD.
