With a sweet smile as always Aunt Phyllis would greet us as she prepared Sunday dinner, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, green beans, sliced tomatoes, and watermelon all from her own garden, and Aunt Phyllis’ famous mayonnaise cake, with cool aid to wash it all down. Afterwards the whole family took long walks together in the woods behind the farm. The best Sunday dinners were, and there were lots of them, in Aunt Phyllis’ kitchen. I know she will be waiting to greet each one of us with her sweet smile and hopefully Sunday dinner.

I have always held special loving memories of my Aunt Phyll close to my heart.
Her gracious smile, warm understanding ways remain with me, and pray those same memories help to comfort her sons and daughters at this difficult time.
Peace be with you.
