Dee Dee Hurst

Diane Louise (Daymude) Hurst - known by all as DeeDee, age 57, of Crown Point, Indiana passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 27th, 2020. Survived by the love of her life and spouse of 37 years, Reverend Brian G. Hurst, daughter Dawnya (Erik Johnson), son Tony (Kelly Hurst). She adored her grandchildren: Lucas (11), Noah (11), Jasper (6), Jayden (6), Logan (6), and Liam (4). Her in-laws welcomed her into their family as well as countless "brothers and sisters" she met through Hope Children's Home located in Tampa, Florida. She may have lived a difficult life, but she held no grudge. She had a spirit of forgiveness and resilience to carry on. She is grateful to those who shared how she could become a "Child of the King". She used her story to minister alongside her husband in full time ministry. She was Executive Administrative Assistant at Help at Home located in Merrillville, Indiana. She and Brian were former members of Hillside Community Church of Crown Point, Indiana where Brian served as Elder. They are currently attending Emanuel Baptist Church of Hebron, Indiana. Proverbs 31:10 Visitation and services will be made through Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Ave. Crown Point, Indiana. Tuesday, June 2nd. from 9 to 11 am. Funeral Service to begin at 11 am officiating is Reverend Randy Hurst, brother in-law of Dee Dee.
